½ Shahi - Isma'il I Safavi from Iran. Issued from 1503 to 1512. Struck in Silver. Measures 24 mm and weighs 3.35 g.

- Sunni kalima (One of very few known Safavid coins with only the Sunni kalima, i.e., without 'ali wali Allah. The kalima is in two horizontal lines, divided amongst three Greek-style ropes, as on contemporary Mamluk coinage.)
