- Obverse
- The famous rocket is represented both in launch and with its head in the stars, on its arrival in space. The rounded stripes represent the trajectory of the many satellites put into orbit by the launcher over the years. The logo of the European Space Agency (ESA) is placed at the top right of the coin, with the title of the coin indicated in the inner circumference of the coin.
- Reverse
- A woman's face, hair floating in the wind, symbolizing Europe, with the word "EUROPA" in the vertical gives its name to the series. Stars scattered in the hair of the effigy, standards deployed and, in legend, twelve circles where the symbol of the euro "€" appears, evoke the twelve founding countries of the euro zone. In exergue the year "2014" surrounded by the two different.
