1 Daler - Johan III from Sweden. Issued from 1569 to 1592. Struck in Silver (.875). Measures 42.56 mm and weighs 29.25 g.
- Obverse
- Half-length figure of crowned and armored King Johan III holding a raised sword over right shoulder, and a globus cruciger in left hand (Symbols of King's power). King's bust is at top of an ornate quartered Shield with Greater Arms of Sweden and Vasa arms in the middle. Shield and King are partially inside a circle also with King's motto while the legend is outside. (Johann III Dei Gratia King of Sweden, of the Goths and the Wends God is our protector)
- Reverse
- Veiled standing figure of Jesus with raised right arm and globus cruciger in left hand. The figure is partially inside a double lines circle, while legend is outside with date divided in two by the fingers of the raised right arm. (Savior of the World, save us)
