Obverse

In the circle made of a string of beads there is engraved the small National Emblem of Ukraine with the year of coin issue above it - 2003. There are the circular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) 2003 (above), 2 ГРИВНІ (2/ Hryvnia/ (beneath), as well as Au 999, the designation of the metal, its fineness and 1,24, the coin weight in fineness. There is also the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Reverse

There is the salamander depiction, around which there are circular inscriptions: САЛАМАНДРА (salamander) and SALAMANDRA.
