Obverse

Above, there is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine, with the legend УКРАЇНА/20 ГРИВЕНЬ/2014 (UKRAINE/20 HRYVNIAS/2014) below it. In the center, there are verses from a poem by Pavlo Tychyna: Я ЄСТЬ НАРОД,/ЯКОГО ПРАВДИ СИЛА/НІКИМ ЗВОЙОВАНА ЩЕ НЕ БУЛА./ЯКА БІДА МЕНЕ,/ЯКА ЧУМА КОСИЛА! -/А СИЛА ЗНОВУ РОЗЦВІЛА…/ПАВЛО ТИЧИНА (I am the people/whose power of truth/has not been conquered by anyone,/Despite all plagues/the power blossomed again…/Pavlo Tychyna.) To the right of the verses, there is a bunch of wild cornflowers, ears of wheat, and poppies, executed in pad print. There is the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

To the right, against the background of a map of Ukraine, there is a stylized composition of two women symbolizing sorrow and happiness.
