- Gold plated Effigy of King George V facing left, using the same design from 1911 (George V, King and Emperor of India by the grace of God)

- Gold plated imperial crown a top a crossed boughs of 22 maple leaves, the same design of 5-cent piece used until 1921. The coin is selectively plated with 24-karat gold.
