Description

3 Para and 1 Dengi = 5 Kopecks from Moldavia and Wallachia. Issued in 1771. Struck in Bronze. Measures 42.5 mm and weighs 37.9 g.

Obverse
Standing stone (similar to a gravestone) with two crossed bead strings at top. With a crowned "E" emblem standing for Ekaterina II. Then the stone is flanked by the flags from both principalities. And date at bottom.
Reverse
Two headed eagle with both heads crowned and a bigger crown at top. A claw holding a sword and the other a staff (or maybe a club). Under each claw the emblem for both principalities. At bottom value and depending on variety the letter "S" standing for Sadagura, where the mint was established. (5 Kopecks)
