- Obverse
- In the centre - the Emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, lower - the semicircular inscription - "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top - "ПЯТЬДЕСЯТ РУБЛЕЙ" (FIFTY ROUBLES), at the botiom - the year of issue "2002", the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark. - In the centre - the Dionissy's icon "The St. Virgin Odygitriya" (painted in 1502) from the iconostasis of the Church of the St. Virgin Nativity of the St. Ferapont Monastery (kept today in the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg), lower- the inscription "ДИОНИСИЙ" (DIONISSY), to the left - the miniature of the XVIth century from the "Personal Annalistic Code": "Ioann III and Sophia Paleolog Celebrating their Wedding", to the right - the Seal of Ioann III.
