Description
5 Euros from France. Issued in 2015. Struck in Gold (.999). Measures 11 mm and weighs 0.5 g.
- Obverse
- A dove symbol of peace in flight, with the initials of the 28 countries of the European Union above the bird. The letters "RF" for République Française are under the dove, and the year above the wing. The logo of the Europa Star Program is present above the dove.
- Reverse
- A woman's face, her hair blowing in the wind, symbolizing Europe, with the word "EUROPA" in the vertical line, gives the series its name. Stars scattered throughout the effigy's hair, unfurled standards and, in the caption, twelve circles featuring the euro symbol "€", evoke the twelve founding countries of the euro zone. In the foreground, the vintage "2015" is surrounded by two different dates.
- Edge
- Smooth with the inscription "EUROPA" in hollow on the place then on the reverse.
