2 Euros from Italy. Issued in 2015. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.

- Dante with an open book in left hand and the Purgatory mountain behind him: a particular from illustrations of "Divina Commedia" by Domenico di Michelino (1417-1491), realized inside "Duomo di Santa Maria del Fiore", Florence; at the center, monogram of Italian Republic “RI”; on the right side, letter “R”, Rome mintage; in basso, “SP”, engraver's initials and dates “1265 2015”, rispectively birth of Dante and issuing year.

- A map, next to the face value, shows the European continent without borders.
