- In the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed bу а circle of dots and inscriptions, above - the denomination: "ДВЕСТИ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWO НUNDRED ROUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2003 г." (2003) to the right in two lines - the fine metal content, the mint trade mark and the ordinal number sign of the coin №___, along the rim – two concentric lines with four decorative elements. (Two hundred Roubles Bank of Russia SPMD)

- In the cartouche, in the centre - the monument to Peter I the Great ("Bronze Horseman") standing on the Senate Square in Saint Petersburg, at the top to the left - three sailing ships against the background of outlines of the Admiralty, at the bottom, against the background of the Kunstkamer outlines - an astronomic instrument, a scroll, dividers, a compass, an angle-bar, two books, at the top to the right - the picture of the two-headed eagle under the crown with orb and sceptre against the background of outlines of buildings of 12 semi-ministries "kollegii", at the bottom, against the background of the Shlisselburg Fortress outlines - banners, cannons, cannon-balls, guns, a drum and a shield featuring the two-headed eagle.
