The Belgian lion sitting with its paw overhanging a stele on which are engraved the inscriptions "BELGISCH GRONDWET - CONSTITUTION BELGE". The inscriptions BELGIE - BELGIQUE - BELGIEN running along the edge of the coin. Under the lion, the value of the coin 12½ euro and the punch "QP".
Reverse
On the upper right part of the coin, the portrait of Queen Mathilde facing right. On the left part of the coin, the monogram "M" overhung by a crown and the year 2015. On the lower part of the coin, the first name of the Queen.
