Obverse
A portrait of Hormazd I facing right, in a short crown with a volute above diadem, crowned with a globe. On the globe there is a pointed ornament. Ribbons flow from the diadem. Pahlavi legend (Mazda worshipper, the lord (divine) Hormazd, king of kings of Iran and non-Iran, whose origin is from the gods)
Reverse
AN "atasdan" in the form of a column with a base and capitellum. On the right-hand side facing the altar is the god Mithra, who holds a "wreath of power" in his hand. On the left is a figure in the crown of Hormazd I, with raised hand. Pahlavi legend ("Fire (fire-temple) of Hormazd")
