Description
2 Euros - Henri I from Luxembourg. Issued in 2015. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.
- Obverse
- The designs show the European Union flag as a symbol that unites people and cultures with shared visions and ideals for a better common future. Twelve stars that morph into human figures are embracing the birth of a new Europe. At the top right, in semi-circle, are the issuing country and the years ‘1985-2015’. At the bottom right are the initials of the artist (Georgios Stamatopoulos). The coin’s outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European Union. Latent image at center showing either the main design, the European flag, or the portrait of Grand Duke Henri I.

- A map, next to the face value, shows the European continent without borders.

- Finely reeded with edge lettering: six times the digit "2" and two adjacent stars, alternately upright and inverted
