Description
10 Hryven from Ukraine. Issued in 2003. Struck in Silver (.925). Measures 38.61 mm and weighs 33.63 g.
- Obverse
- There is depicted the fortress lay-out in whose center against the background of a conventionalized ornament there is an inscription: 10 ГРИВЕНЬ (10 hryvnia). On both sides there are figures of a warrior with an arbalest (on the right) and a wine-grower (on the left); On the right there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) - above, 2003 (left); beneath there is the designation of the metal, its fineness and its weight in fineness, as well as the logotype of the NBU Mint is depicted.
- Reverse
- There is depicted the fortress against whose background (beneath) there is an inscription: 14th-15th centuries, separated by between a heraldic plate the coat of arms of Genoase doge, the Genoese Republic and the Consulate) which decorate one of the fortress towers. On the left of the fortress there is depicted a merchant ship and circular inscriptions: СУДАК (Sudak) -above, left) and ГЕНУЕЗЬКА ФОРТЕЦЯ (Genoese Fortress) - below.
