- Obverse
- A puddler (Feierstëppler) at work, symbol of the Luxembourgish steel industry, at the top of the name of the country, at 3 o'clock the word ESSAI, at 6 o'clock on the date and at 8 o'clock the initials of the engraver.
- Reverse
- Monogram crowned with Charlotte (1896-1985), Grand Duchess of Luxembourg from 1919 to 1964, separating the face value, above two branches of rose bush and of the name of the engraver (Bonnetain)
