Gros - Philip II the Handsome from Luxembourg. Issued from 1502 to 1503. Struck in Silver. Measures 24 mm and weighs 1.45 g.
- Obverse
- An eagle of the Empire spread out, haloed, posed of three quarters, holding the quartered shield of Austria, modern Burgundy with the compony border, old Burgundy and Brabant, with a shield of Flanders placed in the heart. Legend beginning with a crown, between two pearled circles. (Philip the Handsome, Archduke of Austria and Duke of Luxembourg)
- Reverse
- Luxemburgish shield with a rampant lion to the left on a field burel laid on a small cross with indented ends. Between the extremities are four triangular ornaments, contiguous to the inner girdle. Legend between two pearled circles. (Currency of the Duchy of Luxembourg, mint year)
