100 Francs from France. Issued in 1987. Struck in Silver (.900). Measures 31 mm and weighs 30 g.
- Obverse
- The left profile of La Fayette, engraved for a monneron in the 17th century by Benjamin Duvivier, is surrounded by the legend: "GÉNÉRAL LA FAYETTE" and the inscription: "RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE".
- Reverse
- A tree surmounted by a Phrygian cap has for foliage the motto: "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ". This adaptation of a drawing by Michel Durand-Megret is crossed by a band bearing the face value.
