Monogram of Carlos III, with three digit date below. Issues with ordinal as •III• , will be above the monogram (sometimes cross) in place of a crown, or superimposed over small crown. It doubles as part of the monogram and part of the legend. Some issues show instead, the reverse legend and will read Potosi Ano and show a four digit date. No mint or assayer's mark.

Reverse

Cross, with lions and castles in spaces below small crown. The legend may either show CAROLVS, or POTOSI ANO DATE.
