Along the edge thorn wreath, the legend CAROL II REGELE ROMANILOR meaning "KING OF ROMANIANS" and king CAROL II facing right (Carol II, King of Romania)
Reverse
Wreath of laurel (left) and oak (right) branches tied atop by a Roman numeral X (ten), over the wreaths six shields bearing the coat of arms of Moldavia, the territories of the Black Sea (Dobruja - Dobrogea -, mainly), Transylvania (at the right side), Wallachia, Hohenzollern family emblem and Oltenia along Banat - clockwise from 12 o'clock; at the bottom face value 100 LEI, below the face value, along the edge, inscription A.MURNU - H.IONESCU, the names of the coin engravers. At center the crown of Romania over a circle inside which monogram CC of Carol II is inscribed, at left 8 IUNIE 1930, at right 8 IUNIE 1940, IUNIE meaning JUNE. (8th June, 1930
