- Obverse
- The letters RF (for République Française) are calligraphed on the reverse of the insert and highlighted by two crossed horns of plenty. Around the edge of the coin, a frieze shows various elements on the theme of the Art of the table and cooking (sole, wine flask+glass, bouquet, goose, venison, hare, artichoke, mutton, bell, fruit bowl).
- Reverse
- The obverse of the insert features a portrait of Marie-Antoinette. Around the edge of the coin, a frieze repeats the motif of a service created for Louis XVI.
