½ Gros - John of Bavaria from Luxembourg. Issued from 1424 to 1425. Struck in Silver. Measures 23.3 mm and weighs 1.28 g.

- Quartered shield of Bavaria-Palatinate, leaning, under a crowned helmet, valanced and crowned with peacock feathers, legend between an inner and outer girdle (Jean, Duke of Bavaria and heir to Holland)
- Reverse
- Luxemburgish shield with a rampant lion to the left, on a field of five pieces, laid on a long patted cross, dividing the legend, all in an epicycloid with double rib ending in globules. Legend between two pearled circles. (New currency of Luxembourg)
