Description
1 Thaler - Ferdinand I from Kingdom of Bohemia. Issued from 1535 to 1544. Struck in Silver. Measures 38 mm and weighs 29 g.
- Obverse
- Portrait half size with armour facing right, of Ferdinand I without beard, sceptre at right hand. Double circle, the outermost beaded.
- Reverse
- Eagle, head left with halo, arms of Bohemia (1 and 4) and ancient Hungary (2 and 3) with a small shield with Austria and Castilla arms at center. Double circle, the outermost beaded. Legend (starts 12h) for "Infans Hispaniarum Archidux Austriae". Mint mark (half moon) for Wolfgang Roll on top in legend.
