- Armoured half-length portrait of James VI. Sword in his right hand and an olive branch in his left. Inscription in a tablet beneath the bust (James the Sixth, by the Grace of God, King of Scots Prepare for either)
- Reverse
- Crowned Scottish royal arms (To spare the humbled and subdue the proud.)
