- Obverse
- Arms of Mary as Queen of Scots and Queen Consort of France, topped by a crown of 5 fleur-de-lis. Cross to the left and saltire to the right. (Francis and Mary, by the grace of God, King and Queen of France and Scotland)
- Reverse
- Crowned 'FM' monogram. Crowned fleur-de-lis to the left and crowned thistle to the right. (The Lion of the tribe of Judah hath prevailed)
