- on the central part- on the background of a sun, a stork with a bunch of grapes, the inscription"100 LEI"; - on the upper part, following the coin circumference - the inscriptions "PROCLAMAREA INDEPENDENŢEI", "1991" are engraved in block letters; - on the bottom part - a popular ornament and the year "1996".
