Obverse

Against the background of the conventionalized National Flag of Ukraine there is a depiction of the first lines of the National Anthem of Ukraine: "Still has not died the glory and liberty of Ukraine", above there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, as well as the inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) (above and in semicircle), 10 ГРИВЕНЬ/ 2005 (10/ hryvnia/ 2005) (beneath), as well as Ag 925, the designation of metal and 31,1, its weight in fineness). On the coin there is also a depiction of the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Reverse

There is the spiral inscription: СТО СОРОКОВА РІЧНИЦЯ З ЧАСУ ПЕРШОГО ПУБЛІЧНОГО ВИКОНАННЯ НАЦІОНАЛЬНОГО ГІМНУ УКРАЇНИ АВТОР МЕЛОДІЇ - МИХАЙЛО ВЕРБИЦЬКИЙ (1815 - 1870) АВТОР СЛІВ - ПАВЛО ЧУБИНСЬКИЙ (1839 - 1884) (140th anniversary of the first public performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine/ to music of M.Verbytsky (1815 - 1870/ to poetry of P.Chubynsky (1839 - 1884). In the middle of this inscription (in the center of the coin) there is the holographic depiction of a conventionalized flower.
