- Obverse
- Crowned, armored mid-length bust of Philip turned toward left, holding raised scepter in right hand, shield of arms in front of him. (Philip, by God's grace King of Spain, Count of Hainaut)
- Reverse
- Cross formed by four arms of letters crowned P - H - S (shared at center), dividing value, large fleur-de-lis in each quadrant, all within inner circle. Date at top divided by mint mark (tower). (Peace and justice 16 sols)
