2 Rand from South Africa. Issued in 1995. Struck in Silver (.925). Measures 38.7 mm and weighs 33.63 g.
- Obverse
- South African COA in the centre with wording ("South Africa" in 8 of the official South African languages) at 12h00, 16h00 and 20h00. Signature in small lettering at the bottom right of COA
- Reverse
- FAO emblem top left with date range "1945-1995" below it. Top left depicts a bird (Similar to the Cape Sparrow on old RSA 1 cent) on a branch over which the face value "R 2". Bottom left a birds nest with two children. The elder one crying and the younger reaching to the bird.
