- In the centre - the emblem of the Bank of Russia [the two-headed eagle with wings down, under it - the semicircular inscription "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA)] framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim - on top: "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES), below: to the left - indications of the precious metal and its fineness, in the centre - the year of issue "2012 г." (2012), to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark. (Twenty Five Roubles Bank of Russia SPMD)

- On the mirror field of the coin disc - a group of four soldiers with weapons, wearing uniforms of diverse arms of the service which acted in the Patriotic War of 1812, to the right at the rim - the figure of an horse, in the background to the left - a settlement, to the right - smokes of charred ruins. Below - a shako over crossed weapon, standards and army accouterments, under them - inscription along the rim: "ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1812 ГОДА" (THE PATRIOTIC WAR OF 1812). (THE PATRIOTIC WAR OF)
