Obverse

Within the frame made of a vegetal ornament of the Eucharist mosaic there is depicted the small National Emblem of Ukraine and the inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 100 ГРИВЕНЬ, 1998 (Ukraine/ 100/hryvnia/1998) and the designation of the metal - Au 900, its fineness, and 15,55, the coin weight in fineness.

Reverse

Against the background of the picture of the St.Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, there are the silhouettes of the twelve apostles from the symbolic communion scene of the Eucharist mosaic. On the coin there is the circular inscription: МИХАЙЛІВСЬКИЙ ЗОЛОТОВЕРХИЙ СОБОР XII СТ. (St.Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral of the 12th century)
