Obverse

There is a circle diagonally divided into sectors symbolizing four elements: earth, air, water, fire; in the center of the circle there is a conventionalized image of the Sun. To the left of the circle there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, to the right – the year of issue: 2008 as well as the indication of the metal, its fineness – Au 999.9, weight of the precious metal in fineness – 1.24; there are the circumferential legends: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) above, 2 ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnias) below and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.

Reverse

A conventionalized image of a lion with stars around it is depicted, and its Sign of Zodiac symbol above it.
