- Obverse
- There are: the Small Emblem of Ukraine with the inscription УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) under it and the inscriptions НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК (National Bank) (above) and П’ЯТДЕСЯТ ГРИВЕНЬ (Fifty Hryvnias) (below) around the circle; in the circle against the background of Dnieper and the left-bank, the statue of Prince Volodymyr the Great, opened in Kyiv in 1853, is depicted; on the left there is the year of the coin issue 2008 specified on the ribbon.
