Description
2 Euros from Federal Republic of Germany. Issued in 2017. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.
- Obverse
- The Porta Nigra in Trier which is probably the best-preserved Roman city gate north of the Alps. The inner part also features the name 'RHEINLAND-PFALZ' and the mintmark to the left and the date at the top along with the initials of the designer 'CH' (Chocola Frantisek) to the right and the coin's outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.

- A map, next to the face value, shows the European continent without borders.
