Portrait left of Prince Jean (1921-), Grand Duke heir of Luxembourg. Behind the head the word 'ESSAI'. On the left the crowned escutcheon of the Bourbons, on the right the escutcheon of Luxembourg surmounted by a crested helm. Initials of the engraver under the cut of the neck. Around the legend in Luxembourgish and the face value between two points to the exergue. (Prince Jean of Luxembourg)
Reverse
Warrior (representing John the Blind) straddling to the right with the crested helmet, brandishing a sword with his right hand and covering himself with a shield with the arms of Luxembourg. Behind him is a banner inscribed with its motto in hollow.
