- Diademed portrait diademed to the right of Charlotte (1896-1985), Grand Duchess of Luxembourg from 1919 to 1964 surrounded by legend and date of issue. Signature of the engravers under the chin and the word ESSAI in the neck.

- Crowned shield of Luxembourg with on either side the face value. Above and below the legend, the initials of the engravers under the shield.
