- Obverse
- A puddler (Feierstëppler) at work, in the background the blast furnaces, above the name of the country in Luxembourg, mint year at the bottom, initials of the engraver at 8 o'clock.
- Reverse
- Crowned monogram of Charlotte (1896-1985), Grand Duchess of Luxembourg from 1919 to 1964, with both sides of the face value. Below two branches of rosebush and the initials of the engraver. Word ESSAI between the monogram and the F.
