Description
2 Euros - Franciscus from Vatican City. Issued from 2017 to 2023. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.
- Obverse
- The designs feature the coat of arms of the Sovereign of the Vatican City State, Pope Francis. The mintmark 'R' appears at the bottom left and the year of issuance '2017' at the bottom right. The coins' outer ring depicts the 12 stars of the European flag.
- Reverse
- A map, next to the face value, shows the European continent without borders.
- Edge
- Finely ribbed with edge lettering: six times the sequence "2 *" alternately upright and inverted.
