¼ Thaler from Hungary. Issued from 1609 to 1611. Struck in Silver (.882). Measures 30 mm and weighs 7.21 g.
- Obverse
- Crowned (Hungarian crown) armoured bust of Matthias with necklace and chain of the golden fleece in inner circle looking right, Hungarian designatus legend, within Madonna with child in her left arm above the Monarch's crown.
- Reverse
- Crowned fourfold coat of arms (Hungarian Árpád stripes-Hungarian double cross, Bohemian lion, Dalmatian leopard heads, Moravian eagle) with an Austrian - Burgundian twofold chest shield divide KB mintmark. Order of the golden fleece necklace within inner circle, date in legend.
