2 Euros from Italy. Issued in 2017. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring. Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.

- Façade of St. Mark ’s Basilica in Venice; in exergue, “1617” and “2017”, the year of completion of the Basilica and that of the coin’s issue respectively, flank the monogram of the Italian Republic “RI”; below, the inscription “SAN MARCO”; on the right “LDS”, initials of the designer Luciana De Simoni; above, “VENEZIA” and the letter “R” identifying the Mint of Rome; around, the twelve stars of the European Union.
