Description
1 Ducat from Sweden. Issued from 1728 to 1729. Struck in Gold (.976). Measures 21.88 mm and weighs 3.49 g.
- Obverse
- Bust of King Frederick I with curly hairs divides legend. King is wearing an ornate armor and a drape above (no brooch). (Frederick I king of Sweden by the grace of God.)
- Reverse
- Cruciform monogram of Fredrik I (third type), with each arm made by two mirrored F letters. In square center are the Three Crowns of Sweden within circle and other 4 crowns are in diagonal position between the monogram arms. King's motto around rim with the date at end. (God is my hope.)
