Description
1 Ducat from Sweden. Issued in 1732. Struck in Gold (.976). Measures 21.6 mm and weighs 3.45 g.
- Obverse
- Bust of King Frederick I with long and curly hairs divides legend. King is wearing an ornate armor with shoulder ribbons and a drape above (with brooch). (Frederick I king of Sweden by the grace of God.)
- Reverse
- Cruciform monogram of Fredrik I (third type), with each arm made by two mirrored F letters. In square center are the Three Crowns of Sweden within circle and other 4 crowns are in diagonal position between the monogram arms. King's motto around rim with date and mintmark at end (in this type mintmark is at lower position and date with date at right, while in 1728-1729 type date is at top). (In God is my hope.)
