Description
1 Ducat from Denmark. Issued from 1705 to 1706. Struck in Gold (.979). Measures 20.8 mm and weighs 3.42 g.
- Obverse
- Armored bust of King with long and curly hairs facing right. Legend at sides, divided by hair's tip. In type 2 the armor is smaller since there is the date below bust. (Fredrik IV King of Denmark, of Norway, of the Wends and the Goths by the Grace of God)
- Reverse
- Big crown in center. Above, along the rim, is the king motto. Below in type 1 is the date divided is two by the Glukstadt mintmark. In type 2 below the crown there is only the Glukstadt mintmark with rosettes at sides. (Lord be my aid)
