Description
1 Öre from Sweden. Issued from 1528 to 1530. Struck in Billon (.313 silver). Measures 29.1 mm and weighs 3.61 g.
- Obverse
- Crowned and mantled figure of King Gustav Vasa standing front, holding a raised sword in the right hand, and a Royal Orb in the left. Between his feet is a small Vasa arms. King's figure is partially within a circle with legend outside. (Saint Erik king of Sweden.)
- Reverse
- Crowned shield with the Three Crowns of Sweden and a central inner shield with Vasa Arms. The shield is within a beaded circle with legend outside. Shield is also above a cross with long arms that cuts the legend in four parts. (Coinage of Stockholm.)
