Description

1 Öre from Sweden. Issued from 1528 to 1530. Struck in Billon (.313 silver). Measures 29.1 mm and weighs 3.61 g.

Obverse
Crowned and mantled figure of King Gustav Vasa standing front, holding a raised sword in the right hand, and a Royal Orb in the left. Between his feet is a small Vasa arms. King's figure is partially within a circle with legend outside. (Saint Erik king of Sweden.)
Reverse
Crowned shield with the Three Crowns of Sweden and a central inner shield with Vasa Arms. The shield is within a beaded circle with legend outside. Shield is also above a cross with long arms that cuts the legend in four parts. (Coinage of Stockholm.)
