Aspron Trachy from Byzantine Empire. Issued from 1183 to 1185. Struck in Bronze. Measures 27 mm and weighs 4.3 g.

- Mary standing facing on dais, nimbate, holding before her the nimbate head of the infant Christ, across field. (Μ[ήτη]ΡΘ[εο]Υ(mêtêr théou) :"Mother of God".)

- Andronicus, crowned, with forked beard, standing on the left, wearing loros (no sagion/short cloak), holding labarum and cross on globe, being crowned by Christ, holding book of gospels in left hand (ANDPONIKOC DECPOTHC : "The Lord Andronikos".
