Description
½ Gyllen - Gustav Vasa from Sweden. Issued in 1528. Struck in Silver. Measures 38 mm and weighs 12.93 g.
- Obverse
- The crowned and honored king stands with folded cloak, holding a raised sword in the right hand, and a Royal Orb in the left. Between his feet is a small shield with arms of Vasa (Gustav Vasa by the grace of god king of Sweden.)
- Reverse
- Crowned four-field coat of arms of Sweden with Vasa arms in center behind decorated cross. The shield is within a beaded circle with legend outside, along the rim (New coinage of Stockholm.)
