4 Ducats from City of Lucerne. Issued in 1741. Struck in Gold (.986). Measures 31.5 mm and weighs 14 g.
- Obverse
- Coat of arms of Lucerne on ornate shield. Shell above. Mascaron below. Crown at the top, supported by two woodwoses (wild men) wearing wreaths on their heads and around their waists. Left woodwose holding sword and right woodwose holding palm leaf. Both standing on podest with scrolls below.
- Reverse
- Inscription in six lines within cartouche with two palm branches, two shells, flower garland and scrolls. (Ducat of the Republic of Lucerne.)
