20 Euros from France. Issued in 2002. Struck in Gold (.920). Measures 31 mm and weighs 17 g.

Obverse
A magic wand with a scroll of stars and a world of objects related to European children's tales. The face value "20 €", the marks of the monetary workshop and the motto "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ", are in the center of the coin. Underneath, the year "2002", "RF" the name of the issuing state of the French Republic, and the famous beginning of the children's tales "IL ÉTAIT UNE FOIS ...".
Reverse
Cinderella is a children's story retold by Charles Perrault in 1697 and by the Grimm brothers in 1812. The name of the tale is written at the very top of the piece "CENDRILLON". In the center from left to right, the representation of the heads of Cinderella's sisters, the Pumpkin with the mice, a glass shoe, Cinderella dancing with the Prince, Cinderella in color sweeping the floor and a clock indicating almost midnight. Further below, a mirror and a crown with the Greek alpha letter "α" and inside the year "2002".
