Obverse

The face value "20 €", the marks of the monetary workshop and the motto "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ", are in the center of the coin. Underneath, the year "2004", "RF" the name of the issuing state of the French Republic, and the famous beginning of the children's tales "IL ÉTAIT UNE FOIS ...".
Reverse
Aladdin is a tale for children. The name of the tale is written at the top of the piece "ALADDIN". In the center from left to right, the representation of Aladdin colored, an oriental dancer, the genie and the sultan. In the background a palace of the thousand and one nights. Below, the magic oil lamp.
